...smart lines that tell stories β old school history with a new tech twist!
Hey you! Yeah, you – chilling by the sea or strolling down the promenade with an ice cream in your hand π If you think those dark lines along the waterfront are just for decoration – guess again! They’re smart lines that tell stories – old school history with a new tech twist!
At the start of each line (facing from the sea toward the old town), there’s a QR code. You grab your phone, scan it like a boss, and boom – you get all the info about the building that line points to. The info comes in Croatian, English, Italian, and even German. Full package, bro.
And that’s not all! Each line has a name, a symbol, and the century when that building was created. All of them lead to 13 key spots in PoreΔ:
π Euphrasian Basilica (the icon of ancient churches, legit world-class)
π House of Two Saints (with holy figures straight out of an old movie)
π Istrian Assembly Hall (used to be a church, then a stable, a school, a wine cellar – total transformation)
π Pentagonal and Round Towers (like from a cartoon)
π Romanesque House
π Gothic Palace Lion
π Palaces de Vergottini and Zuccato
π Bondulmier Tower
π Canon’s House
π Fishermen’s Square
π Marafor – you already know, that’s where I live now π
The promenade is now extra fancy – during the day, the lines are darker; at night, they glow like a disco floor. Kids play, tourists scroll, locals check what they didn’t know before. Everyone’s in the mood to explore!
Thanks to a local crew of creatives (architects, designers, museum folks, IT team – all in the mix), PoreΔ now has the coolest combo of history and technology. And this is just the beginning.
So next time you’re on the waterfront – don’t just walk, explore!
Scan, discover, and scoop up a bit of the past by the sea, because PoreΔ doesn’t just speak through wind and waves… now it whispers through QR codes too. ππ¬
