Lentil Soup

Lentil Soup


* 2 tablespoons of olive oil
* 1 onion
* 1 stalk of celery, chopped
* 2 carrots, chopped
* 1/2 heads of onions
* 200 gr of lentils
* a spoon of tomato paste
* a little bit of oregano
* laurel leaf
* ½ spoon of himalayan salt
* ½ spoon of pepper
* a little bit of nutmeg
* little bit of turmeric or any other spice you like :)



In a pot with olive oil, medium heated temperature, add chopped onion, carrots and celery, 8 to 10 minutes or until onion does become soft and transparent.

Add lentils, water, tomato paste, laurel, salt, pepper, nutmeg and turmeric.

Heat until it starts to flow, then reduce the fire, about 20-30 minutes, or until the lentils becomes soft, until it is cooked.

At the end add garlic. It would be best to add it to the end of the meal and not to burn it (because cooking loses the ingredient of alicin and reduces the healing properties of the onion). If you still want a little bit of flavor, you can cook it for a maximum of 15 minutes at a moderate temperature.
