Kosovo’s Electronic Music Scene nominated for Croatian “Ambassador” Award
The award for electronic music "Ambassador" is given every year to authors, performers, clubs, festivals, record labels, radio shows, photographers, art productions, vocal performers.
Since 2016, the most famous electronic music portal Klubskascena.hr gathers once a year the entire electronic music industry and awards the Ambassador award for the best achievements in electronic music in Croatia and the region.
"Electronic music as part of the cultural and creative industries continues to grow in Croatia and the region, and the "Nagrada Ambassador" is the first true and relevant indicator of reality conditions on the scene." - says the founder of the Ambassador Award, Goran Tomašević (picture above).
The founders of the Ambasador award are Goran Tomašević and Toni Jurić, editors of the portal Klubskascena.hr.
The award is organized by the Klubska kultura association in collaboration with the Klubskascena.hr portal. The Ambasador Award recognizes outstanding achievements in electronic music. The awarded projects are those that originated in Croatia and the region, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia.
In 2021, DJ and producer Vegim from Kosovo was nominated for regional performer of the year.
In 2022, the Kosovo electronic scene was nominated for "The best regional record label of the Year", namely the techno label TMM Records, led by the artists Vegim and Flekitza.
According to the rules and criteria, the Kosovo scene was nominated in three categories this year:
Ensomnia was nominated for the new club,
DokuFest /Dokunight was nominated in the boutique festival category and
KUJU Studio was nominated for the best graphic work.
This year's Ambassador winners will be revealed at the award ceremony on November 30 in Zagreb at club "Boogaloo".
