Green light for UNUM Festival 2021
The statement of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama that there was not a single hospitalized case of Covid-19 within 24 hours, marks the holding of the second edition of the UNUM Festival π€© π₯³
The official conference of Unum festival was held at the Adriatic Hotel in Thrown Sand in Shengjin. From 3rd to 7th June 2021, on the sandy beach of the city of Shëngjin, with the support of One Telecom, a telecommunications company in Albania, the UNUM festival team will attract tourists and music lovers from all over the world. π
Albanian Tourism Minister, Blendi Klosi confirmed that the festival will be held in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health. π
"The prime minister and our ministry expect and want to be champions of tourism in the Balkans, and in order to be champions, we must have activities like the Unum festival, which this time comes with Dokufest," he said.
Festival organizers have confirmed that up to 80 percent of tickets have been sold so far.
Festival spokesman Ardin Badiviku hinted that quick tests would be done for all those who have not been vaccinated or do not have a valid test within 72 hours.
"Unum Festival will be held with negativ tests for coronavirus and rapid or fast tests. All festival visitors must be tested to create a Covid-free zone. This is a new standard of organizing cultural events, which will be implemented by the organizers and the government of Albania for the first time "- says Ardin Badivuku.
During the five days of the festival, over 75 international and regional artists have been confirmed as electronic music DJs πΆπΆ
The second edition of Unum festival includes a new activity, Culture Week, which aims to revive the purpose and definition of the name UNUM - to become one - culture, art and music. DokuFest is an international documentary and short film festival held in the city of Prizren, Kosovo. This summer, UNUM will host Dokufest, which will allow cinema lovers to watch movies about music. The films will be shown in different parts of Shëngjin. In addition, the films will be complemented by musical performances.
