Community Care
This is day 3 and I learned how to conceptualize the permaculture principles through a community/group lens, and that our communities need to shift towards regeneration, not just sustainability, also to realize that once I have learned to heal my internal world, I will be able to show up better for The Earth and communities
Day Three: Community Care
✔️ Choose 1 Social Permaculture Principle to apply
✔️ Analyze your current friend's circle's value system
✔️ Write a list of boundaries for your relationships & respect them
✔️ Set up a community sharing circle
✔️ Think of where your skillset is best allocated in your community
Social Permaculture: Applying the permaculture principles to social relationships. Social Permaculture is rooted in social justice and honoring diversity within the community. We use the same permaculture principles, but with a focus on groups.
Same same, but different.
The Circle of Vision: Collaborative groups start with a vision. A big and clear vision is a gift. It creates a standard and grounded framework to motivate people, as well as a standard against which your decisions can be judged and fueled.
Ecovillage: A community living together that focuses on regeneration. Ecovillages help develop community connections through shared resources, gathering spaces, and energy-efficient design. Remember, you don't need an ecovillage to practice the social perma-principles.
