This is day two of the Regenerative Lifestyle Challenge by Ecoversity where I dive into ways how to live a regenerative lifestyle through a permaculture lens, to understand that I can, as an individual, make an environmental impact, to discover ways to regenerate my home and lifestyle, to understand the importance of connecting to the Earth, and to learn about zones in relation to the Earth, as well as my internal ecosystem 🤓

Regeneration: From the Latin derivatives re (again) and generate (create): renewal or restoration of a body, bodily part, or biological system (such as a forest) after injury or as a normal process.

Permaculture: A practical set of ecological design principles and methods for human settlements which can be applied to urban, suburban and watershed scale. Permaculture principles provide a way of thinking that enables people to establish highly productive, waste-free environments that provide food, energy, shelter, and other needs.

Regenerative Living: A lifestyle that is based on regeneration, which is living and working WITH nature versus against. Healthier ecosystems: air, soil, water, and lives

Law of Return: Whatever we take we must return. Every object must provide for its replacement. Maintaining cycles = sustainability. Single-Use Plastics: Products made primarily from fossil fuel–based chemicals, meant to be disposed of right after use. Examples include: water bottles, packaging, wrappers, bags, cutlery, etc.

Compost: Organic material that undergoes natural processes, resulting in nutrientdense soil, then used as plant fertilizer. Turning trash into treasure!! Wooo!

Environmental Activism: A movement consisting of efforts to promote, impede, direct or change environmental reform on local, state, or national levels
